The nemu list above is shown when playing MIDI files. When playing audio files, only "Stream..", "Information.." and "About.." are shown.

MIDPLUG has "stream playback" functionality which allows playback to begin before a MIDI/digital audio file has been completely downloaded. Stream playback is possible for MIDI files which were saved in Format 0 and digital audio files. If the MIDI file was saved in Format 1, the normal playback method will automatically be selected.

  • With a setting of "High speed," the buffer size will be small, meaning that only a short interval will elapse before playback begins. However if your phone line is congested, pauses or interruptions may occur in the sound.
  • As the setting is decreased toward "Low speed," there will be fewer interruptions in the sound, but a longer interval will elapse before playback begins, in comparison with "High speed."
  • With a setting of "Off," the stream playback function will be turned off.
